how do i play that current sounding indie like the holloways, babyshambles, arctic monkeys and etc like what scales, chords and appregios do ya think would be good to use to play that kinda off kilter, jangly indie thats big at the moment

I`m not exactly sure what you mean, but if you want a middle eastern feel to your music, you may want to look into the spanish gypsy scale. The intervals for it are 1/2b/3/4/5/#5/7b from that major scale. So for example in the key of Cmaj, it would be C/Db//E/F/G/G#/Bb.

Id say alot of indie is power chords or barre chords. Or chord inversions, which are the jangly high chords like most Strokes songs use. Idk about scales, just play around till u find something that fits what ur doing.

well not particularly hat i was after legendaryaxe but its worth mentioning cuz indie does incorperate different styles.

the type of indie im on about is kinda libertines, babyshambles style. i dont wanna sound patronising but its hard to describe british indie to an american! think arctic monkeys theyre stereotypical of british indie atm
