my girlfriend's grandfather has a copy of mein kampf from 1934, right from Germany. (for reasons that I don't know ) For those of you who don't know this is the book written by Adolf Hitler when he was imprisoned about all his values and beliefs, such as jews being a subhuman race, etc. my question is if this book was in pretty good condition, would it be worth anything say if it was sold for historical sake? i know it was mass produced and everything, but i've never actually heard of an intact copy all the way back from 1934.

so what do you think?

An original copy? I don't know, but I suppose it would be valuable to someone who likes to collect things from the period. Best bet would be to ask a bookshop.

Hmm... I might be willing to buy that. I doubt it would have much historical value, given it was mass produced, if it was a handwritten copy, people would pay 1000's for it.

if it's a 1st edition it could be worth something, even some harry potter 1st editions are worth waaaaaay more than they should be.
#14
i would read it first then sell it. It seems like an interesting read but that **** would be worth a lot I think.

I laughed, I'll be honest, haha.

As for the book,
it may be worth something, but nothing spectacular.

If it were me, I'd keep it.
It would just be a strange but cool thing to have, I think

if its original it might have some value.

there are english versions, but they arn't that well translated. lots of stuff is missing out of them. I read parts of it.. and it was interesting.

even though hitler was a smart man...post WW2. I actually should read it.
