I want my Schecter C1 + guitar in low tuning, and I am wondering what the best strings are to use for drop tuning.

I have no idea how any brand sounds. As long as they're decent, I can adapt to the sound.

The thickest one I could find was an Ernie ball 12-16-24-32-44-56. I want my thickest string in Double drop-d tuning (if that's how you say it) and the other 2 thick strings one octave lower

just get DR heavies..

11-50's

I've tuned them all the way down to B Standard and they felt fine.

so DADGBE
or DGCFAD

i use DR 11-50 and I tune down to CGCFAD and sometimes a step lower or higher.

double drop d?

you mean drop c?

for that, get a set of 12's for the low-c string. and use a set of 11's for the rest
