ive been having a problem with my vod ad30vt .

when playing very low notes or palm muting it makes a horrible fuzzy sound.

i thought it might be the speaker, so i bought a celestion g10 for it, the sound quality is now much better, but that horrible fuzzy sound is still there.

could this be the tube? or does anybody know what this could be?

has anyone had this happen to them?

it never used to happen

any help is much appreciated.

hmm I was gonna say that since it's a modeling amp, It tries to emulate being cranked when turning the volume up, so even on the clean channel it becomes driven and the driven sound plus a distortion pedal might have that lame fuzz you're talking about

ive just been looking up the problem and it looks like the tube has probably gone. so i will try a new tube and see if it fixes the problem.

1. what tube should i replace it with?

2. how do the tubes fit, do they push in and pull out or are they soldered in?

id say youd probably get much better advice on this amp on the forums at www.valvetronix.net

I came up with this kick ass riff on my ukelele when I was 12. Find out two years later, it was smoke on the water. Got my hopes and dreams killed..

i believe you can just pull them out carefully, and check on the amp what tube's in it. then check the tubes stickie for good tubes.

pull the tube downward gently and fit the new tube in the slots and push upwards easily
