Do any of you guys have schools with a load of pointless school uniform rules???!!! I hate my school cos we get detentions for not having a shirt button done up or not having it tucked in!!! It really p*sses me off is there anything you think I could do to get the policy changed?
#4
I know a way!
learn to accept it. It's part of uniform not your body.
Also we have boy's hair is not allowed to be the collar which I think is nonsense.

is it that hard to follow the rules?

We have that at our school, we solved it by storming the head masters office and getting an obese kid to sit on his face for a bit. Now we can wear what we want, my favourtide day is Testicle tuesday, we all wear our birthday suits

I personally love my uniform

Shirt and Tie with dress trousers/black jeans

Makes me look smart

Besides you have to deal with it, It's only uniform

so your boss of your £50,000 a year job said he'll fire you because of your incorrect uniform. would you be so defiant? i think not. school is about learning... from everything.

Hmm...This year the new head of sixth form (just came...real douche bag who thinks he can change the school in a day) has made a rule that the sixth form have to wear shirts. Loophole: He didn't say we couldn't wear anything under the shirt or leave the shirt open to expose something underneath. He only said he had to wear it.

But I think for normal compulsory education you should obey the uniform rules. It shows organisation and it prepares you for the future where you need to be tidy and neat.

can't see the problem with keeping your shirt tucked in, makes you look smart. top button is only a problem if your shirt doesnt fit properly.

I got told today at 6th form that i need to have a shave, there is nothing in the school dress code depicting that i need to take care of my facial hair..........****ers, how am i meant to have a Nietzche moustache or Marxist' beard if i have to shave....

We used to have that up till this year. But yeah, we have crappy uniform rules.

"You are not allowed to put a scarf bearing the school logo up your ass and run around naked yelling, 'vaginas rule!' as you violently masturbate."

wtf is that, amirite?

he didn't say you had to wear the shirt on your torso... try turbanizing it. as for the rules, edgar allen poe found ways to get kicked out of school by defying the dress code- it says to wear white, so he went in bare ass with a hat on.
#23
Loving some of these suggest ions!!!

I guess I should just obey but it just really annoying how you lose your lunchtime just cos you don't have a button done and how the teachers all go around with books writing peoples names down. Haven't they got anything better to do? And people would smarten up for special occasions, its so much more comfy other times not to. As long as people don't take it to far I don't see the problem with getting rid of the policy.

You should still have long hair but make it go upwards instead then say "I respect the rules and am trying to adhere to the 'no hair to the collar' rule as much as possible". Then once you've got out of detention, cut your hair normally and realise what a stupid idea that actually was.

My school let us decide what we can have so now we can have a fleece, polo shirt, jumper etc. Fairly flexible though so I just go in polo shirt, jeans and trainers.

Feel free to add me and listen to more hilarious jokes such as the above.
#28
Jeez, just follow the school rules.

They're giving valuable education, vital in later life. The least you could do is look presentable when you're being taught. If you really can't adhere to a basic dress code, just tuck your shirt in at the front only (still looks convincing from distance) and do your tie up to push the top button together so you don't need to actually do it up.

Mine's not bad although I'd much prefer no uniform.
Blue Shirt - No tie- doesnt have to be buttoned all the way
Navy Jumper
Grey Slacks ( gotta love the slacks)
Any t-shirt we want on inside
Any footwear we want
No hair longer then collar length though- and no ''cult or wierd'' hairstyles- which translates to no hairstyle that will make you look different.

It's an all boys school btw

We HAVE to wear purple knickers for P.E., sometimes no pants or skirt, then they parade you into the park where pervy men wait all day just to see you run. I love my school.
Hey Meg.
Proud of you.

Just do what you're told, it's not that big a deal. You do realize that most workplaces are going to have a dress code too.

If you really want to do something about it get every single person in the school to wear the shirt with that one button opened, they won't give you all detention. Continue until the policy is changed.

Seriously though grow the **** up. Do you think you'll be allowed into the workplace with your shirt undone and untucked?
Do you know how ****ing stupid that would look?
