After months/weeks/seconds of waiting to pull the trigger, I did it the other day, as I couldn't find this baby in ANY shop I went to. And MAN, did I search around. I went to every shop in Manchester, I went to every shop on Denmark Street in London when I went there.
And then I went to the best guitar shop in Manchester, and nope, but I tried some other pedals.

There ya go.

Anyway! So I got home, expecting the shiny new OCD to be delivered, or to see the card through the door saying that it's at my neighbours.
Instead, I open the door, and find out that my dog's sh it all over the damn floor.
After all that, I went to the collection place bla bla bla

Anyway, a quick OCD review.

Got it out of the box, and looks perfect, plugged it in, and it basically sounds like a Marshall in a box. Really thick and crunchy sound, perfect.

The HP mode is higher gain and a bit louder than the LP mode, which is lighter sounding.
The gain goes high, there's enough for me at the halfway point, still sounds great when low too.
The tone control is interesting, not like normal ones, there's a very subtle tone change, and it doesn't go to stupidly trebly levels, which is good.
There's a LOT of spare volume too, it's louder than my original clean sound at 9 o'clock.
Plus, it's SO pretty.
This thing is just begging to be cranked. I could get pretty much perfect Marshally tones straight from it, played a few Thin Lizzy songs and it sounded great, it could react with the wah a bit better, but oh well.
Oh yea, it's extremely dynamic to your picking, it's great.

Time machine?

Very cool, though. How does it do as a clean booster?

Me and my friend invented a time machine (in theory it will work, we've thought it out) but we haven't built it yet.

And I've not properly tried it as a clean boost, but it's very dynamic, so it'll be great.

yours doesnt work so well with the fulltone wah? my pre-06 RMC 1 (no buffer) and OCDv3 work really nicely together. on some days my MJM brit bender isnt noisy, the wah and that work really nicely together too.

Got it from Andertons, was cheaper than everywhere else £119 instead of £140

It works fine with the OCD, I've just realised that too much gain can make the sweep a bit less dramatic.

Dunno, I heard it sounds much fuller and better with an 18v one (like a 100 watt Marshall vs. 50 watt one).

As I said to you earlier IMO it's the best OD pedal ever!

As long as the plug fits, you're good to go. you can use 9-18V adapters, as long as it fits, and the polarity is correct.

I do have to be honest, I love my Fulltone OCD, but ever since the TIM came in.... it's used more as a distortion pedal, it's pretty ballsy on LP mode.
