hi. i just looked at the fender website to see if it had the serial number for my newly bought tele. Its second hand though. - he said it was from the 80s.
Mine is:PQ25724

but it doesnt seem to have this on the fender site, all the others are different:

usually overseas models dont have accurate serial numbers, when they are assembly lining guitars alot of companies literally grab a neckplate out of a box and put it on.

however if your serial number is printed on the guitar, i have no idea, still serial numbers from overseas seem to be off sometimes.

no its on the back of the neck. its not arrived yet but i saw in the picture. yeah maybe they just got it wrong
