Congradulations, this is one of the most intelligent and useful threads in this forum for awhile now. I was going to make one to go with the Metalcore rec one but Im too busy now with school and all.

Some of these are not deathcore like Ion Dissonance, Tony Danza...., definitely not Between the Buried and Me, nor Black Dahlia Murder

Add With Blood Comes Cleansing for good measure

They're not talking about hardcore punk, they're talking about "hardcore." It has little in common with its roots in the '80s.

Not really considered deathcore.

Stuff similar to ASP (mainly looking for something with similar melodic leads)?

Deathcore belongs here? *glares at the red chord thread in the metal forum*

Here on UG, reguardless of where it actually falls in the world of genres, if the metal forum as a whole deems a band unworthy, they are sent here. In general, its mostly deathcore that can go either way. "Good" deathcore bands are fine in the metal forum, but "bad" deathcore bands are not. Hence the Red Chord and Faceless threads in the metal forum.
#34
it actually kind of pisses me off how deathcore isnt really in the true metal area

and even with metalcore....because all metalcore stuff is under hardcore

and they are definitely not the same thing
