*Strains to think*

Can't think of any modern mainstream I really like. RHCP are okay... I dunno. McFly aren't that bad.

It's all curly haired rich kids singing about partying (And pretending to be working class), emo-punk and hip-hop- oh, and annoying singer-songwriters that people for some reason call folk. None of them my cup of tea.

ENOUGH OF THE TYPECASTING.

ffs
According to BS statistics, 92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you're among the 8% who doesn't consider rap to be real music, donate your brains, as you clearly aren't using them.

I'm actually not a big fan of blast beats...I am a fan of 52 piece drum sets and 16th note sextuplets at 140 BPM though.

how about 16th note 140bpm sextuplet blastbeats

Actually yeah, her "Tangled Up in Blue" was decent (And some of her own songs too). New album soon.

Most music I listen to is pretty mainstream.

I love all of it though.

+1

I know there are more musicians who do the loop machine stuff, she's the only one I know of in popular music.

For me:

Tool
RHCP (except for Stadium Arcadium stuff. I couldn't get into it.)
The Zutons (more popular overseas. Still awesome.)
Modest Mouse (new album was okay)
Coheed and Cambria
The Strokes
The Killers
Foo Fighters (In Your Honor was okay, but they're still great)
Disturbed
Incubus
The Mars Volta
Muse
Radiohead
Rocco DeLuca and the Burden

Those are the ones that come to mind/are on my iTunes. It's hard for to think of radio bands these days, since I never listen to the radio. =/

Ya, K.T Tunstall has tonnes of potential. I am interested to see if she can improve on what I saw as a decent but not great debut. Also I have gotten into M.I.A. lately. She is hit and miss but when she gets it, man it works. Look up Bird Flu, Bucky Done Gun, and Sunshowers on youtube. Awesome and fresh stuff.

There's this Belgian band called Larsson, they released one single and it was the best thing I've ever heard on the radio in the past 3 years, really they have this classic rock/blues/funk thing going on that's brilliant. Offcourse they dissapeared out of the charts after only 2 weeks 'cause nobody here appreciates that kind of music.. Everyone's into Jumpstyle music here which is kindof a harder version of techno, sounds great huh?

Just Maroon 5 for me. Any karaoke night at a bar, This Love.

And Robbie Williams.
Friends, applaud the comedy is over.

So if anyone is interested, you know, clicky.
