Hey i'm looking to buy a new amp because mine sucks. Brief and to the point. I have looked at 4 specific models, but i'm open to suggestions. I'm looking for and rms rating around 100 -200 nothing huge just enough to play in a garage, room and the occasional coffee house gig.

So far I looked at
----Ashdown ELECBLU15180 Electric Blue Series
180 Watt 1x15 Inch Bass Combo Amplifier

---$579 Eden N15S Silver Series 120W RMS into 8 ohms 1x15 Inch Speaker Bass Combo Amplifier

---- $599 line 6 low down 150 watt (have to buy foot switch cheapest is roughly $150)

----$459 Laney Amplification RB4 160 watt

I don't exactly know what to look for besides rms rating. I almost bought a behringer so i definatly need help.
you can learn some stuff from this site ... http://www.tunemybass.com/bass_amps/bass_guitar_amps_faq.html

these are the three that i narrowed down to in my search.

SWR WorkingPro 12 200 Watt 1x12" Bass Combo Amp

Ashdown MAG C115-300 Combo Bass Amp

Ampeg BA115T 1X15 100 Watt Bass Combo Amp

i ended up going with the SWR.
I like the Laney and Ashdown from your list, and the Ashdown MAG and SWR from theWallofYAWNs. I'm not a fan of 1x12" combo's, but SWR are a decent make. Don't they make a WorkingPro 1x15 or 2x10?
And yet, to me, what is this quintessence of dust? Man delights not me: no, nor woman neither... nor women neither.
Laney definetly, make someof the nicest bass combo's out
Washburn RB2500 (5 String)
Yamaha BB400 Fretless (1981)
Carlo Giordano 3/4 Upright (White)
Cort Action 4 (Stereo-fied)
Orange Bass Terror 500
Orange 1x15 Cab
Boss GT-6 Bass Multi-effects
I have the Electric Blue (though its the 12") and Im quite happy with it. And its plenty loud for the places that your wanting to play.
SX Ursa 2
G&L Tribute L-2500
Ibanez ATK700 (all but sold)
Ashdown Elec. Blue 180 (need something else...)
