Alright right now im split between either the:

RG1527: A 7 string Ibanez with

Pro's: Good Floyd Rose

I've played and liked it

Nice fast neck

Like the looks but arnt really anything special

Con's:

Would probably buy new pickups for it

Price, it retails at stores new for around 900 dollars...

A Carvin Custom

Pro's: It would be custom for me and look awsome

^ + 10

Con's: Very pricey would run me quite a bit

I have never even seen a carvin in any of my local stores and have no idea how they play.

Ibanez UV777 (Steve Vai 7 string)

Pro's: Midrange between the two

Sweet scalloped frets in the upper register

Would probably play better than an RG1527

Really nice pickups

Con's: Overpriced?

Dont really like how it looks...

I could just buy an Rg1527 and fix up the pickups for cheaper...

Oh yeah my budget is between 800-1500 dollars and dont mind buying used so long as it doesnt have any big dents or scrates, and doesn't require to be set up again.

Universe doesn't have the scalloped upper frets like a Jem.

I've never played a Carvin though so I can't help you.

I would find a Carvin to play if that's even possible. I've never even seen one before.
