greety requires your help.

I wish to find ANY websites that advocate against Metal, in general, Christian websites, whatever.

I know Google exists, I just thought that same of you might get riled up about that crap and read it and complain about it on your blogs.

Any help is appreciated as always. I will trade you pictures of my ear lobes for any good sites.

Nothing so far, but I found a great line.

"Deicide understands they will pay the ultimate price for their sin; they will never have inner peace without Christ"

"They may be fighting a losing battle against God, but they do know which team they are on and the consequences to their actions. "

In fact, this page is pretty interesting, if not really related to the topic

EDIT:

Just to be a smart-arse

Haha, man Deicide will never have peace after writing a song called 'Kill the Christian'. I wonder if they have been viciously mauled by a pack of marauding xtianz yet.

. Take a look at this fellas:

The reason that we want to spread the message of Jesus is because we care for people and don't want anyone to burn in hell, but instead find a living relationship with God (cause that's what the real Christian life is all about, it's a living relationship with God and not a boring religion!). Christian metal is also needed to encourage and help believers that love metal to grow in faith and come closer to Christ through the lyrics.

Worst English ever. I'm starting to doubt that the first site I posted is made by prankin' hessians.

I don't know if this is really the sort of thing you're looking for, but I posted it anyway. It's an article about Malaysian authorities banning black metal because they think it encourages Satanic rituals.

Ironically enough, the problem nowadays are the crazy Protestant churches advocating this sort of stuff. The Pope, on the other hand, is trying to deal with stuff like poverty, Darfur, political oppression, etc. The Catholic Church is probably the single largest independent provider of charity and aid in the world. Sure, we ****ed up the Middle Ages pretty bad, but fundamentalist Christianity has nothing to do with us. I know several Catholic priests who actually listen to metal, haha.

as for the thread.
http://www.dove.org has music reviews, you could probably find some metal albums on there.

What, you mean the comment he made when he quoted that Renaissance pope about Islam being evil? If you read the whole speech, although he shouldn't have said it, people definitely selectively quoted him and made it seem like he was bashing Islam. He's made many trips to Mosques in the Middle East and prayed with prominent Islamic leaders. He has nothing but respect for Islam. The point of that comment was that religion should never be used as a weapon.

Religion is such an argument-creating subject.
Another thing, Ive always wondered why theres "Christian Rock bands" yet there are no Islam Rock bands or anything.
Is this a new way they are trying to compete against each other? lol

It gets f*cked up starting with the parentheses. Here's how I would fix it.

It is about having a living relationship with God, and it is certainly not a boring religion!). Actually Newsweek had an article a few weeks ago about Islamic punk rock. There are definitely some bands, it's just a smaller scene because some strict sects of Islam outlaw music, whereas in nearly all sects of Christianity, music is central to celebrations.

More-so on rock in general, though. (Also might wanna mute your speakers. The background music is annoying as hell.)

Just google something like "devil's music." A lot of stuff comes up.

Read the sad testimony about Freddie's reckless life of sodomy, fornication, illegal drugs and materialism. He died in London in his $4,000,000 home in 1991. He carried none of his wealth beyond the grave. He had such a beautiful voice, but used his talents for the devil. How sad! How tragic! Where is Freddie Mercury now? Hell!

It's funny how you Catholics always try to pin the fundies and the bad stuff on Protestants, and the Protestants always try to pin them on you folk. Such a stupid yet comical little argument. Being a fundie has nothing to do with the sect, anyone can be fundamentalist, Catholic or Protestant.

Onto the thread topic, I can't say I know any anti-metal sites, but I can give you a hysterical anti porn site. Not helpful, but whatever.

Anyone can be a fundamentalist, but none of the ones you hear about on TV or in the news aren't Catholics, as I said, because we've got the Pope, and the last few Popes have been very rational about that sort of stuff. I have nothing against Protestants- half my family is Protestant- but the lack of a central governing figure is definitely why they have stuff like the Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas. You're definitely right, but it's a question of numbers- there are very few Catholic "fundamentalists" because we don't take the Bible as the word of God, unlike fundamentalist sects.

...no.
It's considered the word of man inspired by God. And thus is is sometimes prone to error, particularly in the Old Testament.
And even that is used loosely. I'm reading a book by Pope Benedict right now about how to interpret the Biblical Jesus and he cites three methods, one of which is straight-up historical-critical analysis of the author and period during which it was written, which is how historians go about interpreting the Bible.
