So I've been playing guitar for about 5 months now and I want to learn some solos... what are the easiest ones to learn?

Nothing Else Matters and One by Metallica are good starter solos in my opinion. And 5 Minutes Alone by Pantera.
#7
Nemo by Nightwish. Quite a few nighwish songs have easy intro solos actually, check out Come Over Me, Deep Silent Complete or Moondance.

Or erm, the beginning solo in Fade To Black by Metallica's simple enough to lean as well...

Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

First one I ever learnt, and easy as piss.

Keep up the learnin brother!

Rock on.

Wow, not only is this an amazing leap of originality, but it's written so well that William Shakespeare would have three kinds of wet in his pants if his eyes somehow graced this thread.

The little intro solo on Pink Floyd - Wish you Were Here.

I love the fact that people are coming in here just trying to show off what they can play. "Yeh Steve Vai solos are a piece of cake start with those" type thing. In answer to the question probably Nirvana, Greenday, the like.

fuzz + wah + any random notes = hendrix solo

Oh really? If you can make a hendrix solo you should upload it.. You would get a lot of praise

I reckon the solo for "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin is pretty simple, it's short, and the notes are easy to remember, you just have to build up speed.

One? A good starter solo? Pur-lease.

What, I think the intro solo is great for beginners. I think that was the first solo I learned (or Nothing Else Matters, I don't remember. It was the first or second at any rate).

And Enter Sandman is pretty hard to play considering all the wah-wah and wah not. The key parts are not too hard though, if you have a good tab.

Yeah, I don't think 'Hendrix Solos' exist in this reality. He was very jazz-influenced and therefore... everything was improv!

OK, so let's see you do it.

start with some nirvana - most of those are fairly easy

When I first started learning the minor penotonic scale it made every solo after that seem so much easier. then I got carried away with the whole scale thing
