hello, i was wondering you lot pronounce the shortened version of telecaster. cause i have heard "telee" and "tela" which is right if either of them?

I pronounce it as "tele" like in telephone, or in ... telecaster.

Dude, does it matter?

It isn't like it's going to make the world any better of a place to live in, being able to pronounce Tele.


(and by the way, it's telly, it makes the e a bit more distinctive to help people know you mean a "Tele" and not a "Tell a")

I'm probably the odd one out here. Being Canadian, I pronounce "Telecaster" like "TELL-uh-kas-ter", but pronounce "Tele" like "telé" (rhymes with melee).

I'd say teleeee (i.e. as in tele short for Television). because it was originally called a "broadcaster". Makes perfect sense.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

It's tele. The guitar was actually named in honor of the new invention that came out around the time it was originally released: the tele-vision.
Anybody that pronounces it [tel- uh] is an idiot. Hit them.

(Well, it can also be 'cause I'm Spanish and I'm used to pronounce like that)
