so far these forums have been so helpful, and i need to know one more thing, how to practice or what other things i have to increase my playing speed, i ve been playing for about 8 months now and the toughest i can play is hysteria by muse and some parts of phantom of the opera by iron maiden

start off slowly,if you rush through it all the time your pretty much training your hands to be sloppy. take your time...its all muscle memory. also use a metronome. \m/

Yeah never start fast right away. Your playing will be way too sloppy. By starting slow, you concentrate on having the right technique and play the line properly. So by going up in speed slowly, you get your muscles and brain to remember what you were doing so you don't need to think to play it.
