Hello all

I made a thread in bands and artistists, but I wasn't sure which category to put it in. And besides, the Pit has a larger audience

I'm looking for some band recommendations. For some reason, I don't like any of today's popular bands. I find them either boring or depressing (don't flame, that's just my opinion)

I like bands that are fun, energetic and melodic, however most bands that are described this way turn out to be emo, which I'm not a big fan of.

Can anyone recommend me some bands to listen to?

Thanks a lot
cheers for beers

Power Metal is what you need, try some Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, and Dragonforce.

I agree, power metal all the way.

I recommend Dragonforce - Cry Of the Brave. One of the happiest guitar riffs i have ever heard (for a metal song)
But there's no sense crying over every mistake, you just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

I'd recommend them, too.

Some songs by Less Than Jake (We're All Dudes is a great song).

I know exactly what you mean about music though, threadstarter.

Ska is the happiest genre around.

And if you want a really, really happy Dragonforce song then listen to Once In A Lifetime.

Ska. Except maybe streetlight manifesto. I love 'em, but theres a lot of minor key stuff, and the lyrics are kinda depressing. Also, try bowling for soup.
