Well, I'm a metal player (but not strictly of course), and I LOVE the aggressive sound of constant downpicking. However, my arm can't stand up to the awesomeness. Does anyone have any exercises/routines for arm endurance? I'd very much appreciate it.

P.S. Right forum?

Practice, that's all you have to do.

Since there is no such thing as perfect tone, and every rig has differences (however slight they may be), I hereby declare this claim as bullshit.

Yeah, I've noticed I do tend to play more with my arm. So should I slow down and relearn to play with my wrist.

Then again Daron isn't exactly a technical wonder.
Not a word about his songwriting though.

Yeah it should be in the wrist, but learn how to put some arm into it too sometimes, it looks good on stage, and lets you really get into the beat of a song. If you're going to let the chord ring out, follow through and let the arm keep going a bit while you pull the neck up with your left hand. Repeat
