Which would be better, HD or LCD?

Wrong question... I'm a 13 year old spak. Forgive me. What I meant was, LCD or Plasma. Someone can slap me if they wish. Virtually, of course

HD unless its to big, if you need a flat TV get an LCD but CRT HD tvs are cheaper and better quality

Seriously though, on our budget you could probobly get a decent 19 inch Samsung LCD HD or something similar to this:

Just don't buy an extremely big LCD. The picture quality won't be the same on a 32" and a 37" if you sit on the same distance, in my experience. I think Phillips have very good quality on their LCDs, but I recommend that you go to a store and look for yourself.

You can get a great 22-24 inch lcd monitor which supports 1080p HD for under 200.
It wont be a tv, but it'll be great for your PS3/XBOX 360 if you just want it for HD gaming.

I got this (not from this site) and its fucking awesome for my PS3, everything is crisp and clear and full 1080p HD sex-a-liciousness.

LCD is almost always HD, or at the very least ED (the smaller ones)

Olevia makes some good cheap ones. Some people will say you get what you pay for, but what they don't realize is that there's only 4 companies in the world that make LCD panels. One of them is Sharp, I forget the rest. When you shell out for a Sony Bravia or whatever, the only thing your paying extra for is speakers, inputs, and the plastic case that says Sony on it.

The question you should probably be asking is "should I get LCD or plasma?"

Im not keen on LG. We bought one and it died after 18 months. Probably just us, but i'd be wary.

I suggest a 21 to 32 inches HD (LCD or not), that can handle AT LEAST 720p

Really, plasma's havent been real prone to burn in for years, but i do agree, for the price LCD are better. Though, im old school and went with a CRT HDTV because i love true blacks and no ghosting!
