Alright, so I got a beautiful Epi Les Paul Classic (black quilt), plays great, sounds hot, looks awesome, but I kind of don't play the music I had in mind when I got it- classic rock, metal- at all anymore. So I was thinking of selling it and picking up a hollow body or semi hollow. I make electronic music, but I love playing jazz and blues and punk, and I love that hollowbody sound. What do you think I should sell this thing for (I got it for around $500-600), and what should I look at in return?

Yeah, if you want a quality hollowbody, I'd just keep the Les Paul and buy a high-end Epiphone or a Gibson. You wouldn't make enough selling the Paul to be worth it.
Epiphone Riviera Jorma Kaukonen Deluxe
Orange Tiny Terror with a Mesa 2x12 Lone Star
Boss PH-3
Jekyll & Hyde Ultimate Overdrive
Dunlop Crybaby 535Q
Boss DD-20
Fender Deluxe Mexi-Jazz

If it performs as well as you describe it, is keeping it and getting a new one not possible?

Because I don't really want that sound and I don't really have a ton of cash. I also don't need anymore guitars (I'm not a hugely dedicated player)

I have that exact same guitar, even down to the color. I'm starting to hate it, it's not a shred guitar lol, and the pickups suck.
If it's in good condition, you could get $350-$400 selling privately. If you sell or trade it to a music store, they'll probably only give you $200 for it.
So I would buy a new guitar first if you can, and then sell the LP.

As for what to buy, look into Ibanez Artcores, and Epi Dots and Casinos.

I'd obviously sell it private, I'm not that stupid.

lol its an epiphone which is a peice of **** ne ways, who give a rat fart.

Wow, you've never played a $500 Epiphone. I find it better to play than any Gibson I've ever touched. I just need something different

Twas looking at one of these: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Michael-Kelly-Vibe-Electric-Guitar?sku=513853 (I have felt and heard only good about MK) or maybe a Wildkat. This looked hot, too http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Dean-Palomino-Electric-Guitar?sku=511933
but I base that purely on looks, and the fact that I quite like soapbars/P-90s.

Both look very nice! Time to hit GC or SamAsh or whatever shops you have there, so you can audition both.

Good Luck!
