it looks good but i live by this saying: why buy some cheap stuff that breaks all the time (and ou keep replacing it) than buy a high quality one that will last forever?

I live by this saying: Shop around all the used and cheap guitars until you find the best one because it will be better than the average "high quality" guitar, and alot less in price.

Good for you. Have a cookie.

But really... there's no cookie. And if there was, you wouldn't get one.

Well the reason I want a new guitar is because it's "new"
:]
I just don't want to invest in something either poorly constructed or sounds bad.

well personally i would actually go to a music store and ask. i know its kinda weird but research in what you are buying first

Ibanez RG321, Epiphone G-400, Epiphone Les Paul Standard, or a low end Schecter would do the trick.

The RG321 looks prettyyyy nice, I must say.
I'm gonna look around local shops and see if any of them have a few of your listed models Kurt.
Thanks :]
