i was wondering what would happen if i put a celestion vintage 30 (which is 60w, and 12 inch) into my vox ad30vt (which currently has a 10inch speker)? would the speaker just be underpowered and therefore be queiter or what would happen?

any help would be great thanks

I belive so.... but most amps put in speakers with higher power ratings then the amp puts out, this is so they don't blow the speaker.

The higher wattage is fine- it just means that you won't distort the speaker with the AD30VT. It'll be roughly the same volume level as the stock speaker, too.

Wait, a Vintage 30? They're twelve inches, and the AD30VT comes with a ten inch speaker. I'm not sure if the bigger speaker would fit into the cabinet- you should make sure before you buy.

Yea just make shure the Ohms match and that way you have more room to keep speakerbuzz/distortion away.
