Hey does anyone think they can throw down a rough take on the Moonage Daydream solo from Bowie's album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars? Unreal solo, RIP Mick Ronson

If you mean the solo at the end... Let me say that i've been looking for that for awhile to. Unfortunately, I can find nothing. So i have simple suggestions: It's mostly based around a D scale. Forget if it's minor or major...

Either way, at the beginning it's simple, being just the same note (D) Played over over again, then it moves to a higher note and does the same...

Crap, i'm sorry i can't be more help. I'll tab it out sometime soon. But I agree that's one of the greatest solos ever.

Hey mate yeah I remember reading somewhere it was in D major, thanks for the help, I'll see if I can stuff around and work something out. Also, what effect was Mick using to get that massive echo? Yeah it is an unreal solo, the one he does on the Ziggy Stardust DVD is also amazing.
