why do people even report other users, what is the purpose of tht besides being a douche

and i know the first post is gonna say *reported*

It informs the mods that the thread is spam or that it's breaking the rules. To report a person you click the red exclamation point at the bottom of their post. People type *reported* to warn other posters. If you post after a report you get warned.

The mods cannot be everywhere. A lot of threads are pointless spam/advertising. Some are an invite to a flame fest. Some are downright ugly.

I've already been banned three times, mostly for posting in reported/spam threads Although it is useful when you get 4chan spammers and the like posting.
