Anyway, I'm interested in getting into flamenco style guitar and was wondering if anyone here knew a good starting point or had any tips or anything. Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend getting a teacher. For that type of guitar-playing, it's very important for someone more advanced than you to give you advice. He will be able to see things that you cannot. I'm saying this from experience.
