Fair enough, but some are also in C. It's still a drop D tuning, but just a few other half steps. Can still play the song and have it sound recognizable.

we decided to erase it from our memories cos the guys who wrote it are living in the 70s.

No More Tears - Ozzy
Everlong - (not metal, but good tune regardless and fun to play)
Unsung - Helmet

I don't think the classic Maiden albums were done in drop-D. Adrian Smith tried drop-D tuning when he played on one of Dickinson's solo albums -- maybe look at Iron Maiden's more recent songs, since Dickinson & Smith returned to the band?

old brand new is Eb, not drop D

maiden plays in standard as far as I know. maylene and the sons of disaster plays in drop D and all of their songs are easy and pretty fun.

JFAC is drop A.

Wrong! Older JFAC uses drop D and they dont use drop A they use drop Bb. Anyway some good drop d songs are a new level by pantera, the battle rages on by deep purple, all lamb of god, and alot of older trivium just to name some.

they recorded the doom ep in drop A and play it live in C or something like that. they've never used drop D, it's not low enough

Creed-----hahaha just kidding

Go for some Lamb of God. Laid to Rest is really fun to play, as is 11th Hour and Redneck. Some parts are kind of fast, but I don't know how good you are, you may fly through them. I know they helped me a lot when I got stuck in a rut a while ago
