eq after the distortion imo. Then again I don't use distortion pedals. If I do use an eq I always stick it in my effects loop. So i have the amps eq as a preamp eq and eq pedal for post amp.

ok, so where did my post go...I would say before distortion personally, but it really is just a matter of preference

I dunno where it went, sometimes this website has glitches like that , ahh I'll have to play around with it, but was curious as to if it mattered or not It would seem pluging it before would make guitar have the tone and the distortion take that and distort that with the EQ sound or something I suppose

I've known people to use 2 EQ pedals, one either side of the distortion, but if it's just the one it's most useful afterwards.

fair enough, i'll see about modifying my project to include 2 EQs in one case with the option to have any combination of the 2 on (off/off, on/off, off/on, on/on) using my superior electronics skills. As i was just going to make the one, and like having the EQ before distortion
