Lol nice deal though man, the SG looks pretty. Wheeling and dealing guitars is uber fun. I've never lost money on any guitar I've sold.

Its somewhat a Les Paul, or it would have been a LP 40 years ago lol.

I know its an SG dumbass!

"Damnit I am a good negotiator! I only paid $135 new for the Les Paul!"

Um, doesn't seem like it. Don't lie, oh wait you're canadian. That explains it.

Oh, and It's "a SG" not "an SG"

you only use AN if the word starts with an A, E, I, O, and U.
#14
Or with an unpronounced, e.g. hour, if you want to get anal.

Nice deal there

If pronouncing "SG" in English, you would say "ess-gee", correct? The sound of the S implies you need the AN. That rule was designed because of the phonetic sound of vowels when pronounced as letters beginning words. S has that same characteristic...

The Laney Thread are big and clever. No exceptions.

h in english normally uses "an" as well. It comes from H's in french being silent I think (so possibly latin) for example you don;t say "le hopital" you say " l' hopital" pronounced "lopital"

What's with all the writings on the pickups???

SG has thinner neck than LP

the writing is epiphone stickers. you normally get a little plastic cover on the pups, these ones just have some print on them too. they peel off easily

Although this statement is true, they feel like stickers when you touch it. They even peel off like stickers too.

This is all I need now.

I was trying to put him in his place because he was acting like he won 5 gibsons and he was so smart. He also threw out some insults.

btw, if you say "or an U" it doesn't sound right, that's why I said "a".

Bollocks,
For abbreviations, usually one uses 'an', and I've always assumed SG was an abbreviation, as it's obviously not an English word.

That was incredibly moronic. Oh yeah I remember giving you the award for the most moronic post in another thread.

The other form, an, is used before words beginning with a vowel sound. Hence, a European country, a Ouija board, a uniform, an FBI agent, an MBA degree, an SEC filing.
#31
SG stands for solid guitar.

an SG doesn't sound right, A SG seems much better. Most people call them SGs not S.G.s
#32
STFU... we should be celebrating not acting like losers who think they are better because of minimal grammar problems. Congrats on the buy. I'm getting a nice Epi G-400 SG soon, and I can't wait.

You guys made me confused about an and a so now I am gonna have to ask my english teacher tommorow whats right.
#35
The use of "a" or "an" is dictated by the sound of the following word, not the letter it begins with. Grammar is simply an effort to make language flow more fluently saying things such as "a apple" "an knife" all sounds very baby-ish

it is an SG, if you say a SG then you have to pause between a and S, other wise it would sound like... "ah yes gee"

You contradict yourself more than the average idiot.

You only want to end it because you are wrong, and have been wrong several occasions after the first, and you know it.

How is this exactly?

I actually don't care when or how it ends, I don't have to come back here and I won't.

You don't even try to help with this topic, you just go around commenting on meaningless posts trying to make a point that doesn't even exist in the first place, then acting like you're better than everybody else.
