Anyone have any experience with newer Ibanez Artists, specifically the AR300? I have an '83 AM-50, made in Japan Artist which is probably the finest guitar I've owned. Its semi-rare and has some sentimental value, so I don't really want to go banging it up at local gigs. I've been thinking about getting another vintage Artist to lug around, but just saw that Ibanez still makes the AR300 under their classics line. It looks like it has most of the features of the older models; Super 58 pickups, same neck, mahogany body yadda yadda. I have however heard alot of mixed opinions on newer Ibanez guitars and the lower end models I've looked at at local shops didn't really impress me. Quality and sound wise, does anyone any input on the Artist?

I own the ARC 300 and it aints too bad for what you pay. The pups are decent. About a 7 second sustain nice neck through design.

get a cheap marshall... my MG15DFX has a button that simulates the sound of one of the expensive tube marshall amps.
