i am looking to get a roland cube 20x. i have an Agile Tele copy and i was wondering if i could get good cleans out of it. i ask because it seems to be used for metal a lot. I play a lot of ska/reggae, but also need good overdrive for punk. will this be good for me?
oh and i dont want to spend more than 200 US dollars
thanks

Don't get the 20x, get either the Microcube or the 30x.

The 15x and 20x don't have the amp modeling that makes the Cube series good (and the 15x doesn't even have effects).

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

I fully agree.
It is for these reasons that I have a microcube at work in my locker to practice on and a 30X at home.
The modeling and effects on both are great. The 30X has a powersink on it that allows you the benefits of high gain/volume without being too loud.
I love the acoustic simulator on both.

Go ahead and pull the trigger on this one...you won't regret it.
