Hey.

I want to buy a BC Rich Slash Mockingbird, but I was wondering about the pickups and overall quality. I asked a similar question before, but oh well.

The pickups in the mockingbird are Rockfield Mafia's, are these what Slash used? And, are they any good?

Secondly, the guitar comes with those pickups, and a floyd rose for £400/$650ish dollars, is that a good deal?

Thanks!

for £400 it looks like an gem. OFR, mahogany body with a very nice veneer. i have no idea about rockfield pick ups or if he used them. i know on his les pauls he uses seymour duncan alnico 2 pro's

did some research. slash used a mocking bird SLP with alnico pro 2's so the rockfields aren't the ones slash used, but i think i'm right in saying that rockfield are bc richs good pups?

anyway other than that the specs are identical

Just swap the pickups out if you don't like them?

The guitar should give you a similar sound, but 98% of the sound comes from your AMP, Effects, and your pick ups.
