I don't know about you, but I would never listen to Agalloch when I'm working.

Working in an office while listening to Agalloch would probably kill the mood of the music. Unless your office is located in a forest/mountain somewhere.
#15
+1 to both of you.

Dio? It's good, but not heavy at all. I'm guessing you don't want anything too aggressive.

Don't play metal in a workplace, most people don't like metal. Stop trying to force your tastes on other people and use your headphones.

Its a small store and Im probably going to have about 5 or 6 customers in the entire 6 hour period. So I think playing metal is ok in this situation.

Besides, other people force their tastes on me in a daily basis. Whats wrong with listening to what i want to for a change eh?

To everyone else: great suggestions guys, ill try em out. Thanks.

You could probably get away with any black or death metal band that uses harsh vocals/death grunts since the untrained ear couldn't understand what they're singing.

Just make sure it's not the new remixed stuff, because it sucks.

the original Existence is Futile on the other hand...

srsly, just about any Sabbath material, or old school metal is probably fine. Otherwise thrash bands (y'kno, Sodom, Kreator, Destruction etc etc). I dare say you can get away with playing Metallica too.

umm Agalloch was a pretty good suggestion too, especially for a store

If only you worked at a morgue, because death metal would be perfectly suitable.

Mate, your avatar screams absolute ownage.

Edit: HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHH

It would be easiest to use your headphones, or simply stick to the classic metal, and the metal forefathers, such as

Ozzy (mostly except for the live songs since Ozzy LOVES the F word)
Black Sabbath (mostly)
Iron Maiden
Led Zeppelin (not metal, but metal forefather)
Deep Purple (same thing as above)
Dio
Queensryche
also, Opeth's album Damnation

Calm down dude. Let him put whatever he wants. At least he's proud of what he listens to. Sheesh.

As for this thread its probably gonna get closed, but I would say Scar symmetry or anything vocally and melodic guitar wise.
