No joke, my cousin used to be in this band! But it turns out hes allergic to cigarette smoke (really lame) so he couldn't be around the whole live performance-after party ****, so he had to quit.

i believe they're done

They just did an update in August on their myspace and there is no word of them being done.
On wikipedia it says they have a new cd called The Campaign and it says (release date pending) on Metal Blade.

Into the Moat just rules so hard. The design is one of the greatest tech metal cds ever.

They're not talking about hardcore punk, they're talking about "hardcore." It has little in common with its roots in the '80s.

I dunno, I thought Prologue was pretty much the best track on there. Especially the ending, both the outro guitar bit and the classical bit.

Fair enough, perhaps a slight overstatement

I still really enjoy it though

Really talented band, and I do like them, but I think all their songs sound the same.

I tend to find that in near the middle of The Design I start to skip a bit, mainly because some songs do sound same-ish. But Empty Shell and Prologue Still rule my life. Hopefully the campaign will be better than the Design.

Also, anyone seen them while they were playing in late 07?
Is the new bassist any good?

Hello from the depths of South FL. I thought you all would like an update, so here it goes... The new album is coming along very well. The songs are just about finished up. And we are going to try to get some shows going before we hit the studio (nothing as of yet though). Sadly our recording date has been pushed back to June 14, but all this extra time to add finishing touches will make for an amazing record. In other news we are in the process of re-mixing/mastering the EP. Thats right boys and girls, "Means by Which the End is Justified" is being re-releaesed on Metal Blade Records. We have not come up with a release date yet but we plan to have it out before the full length. As soon as it sounds brutal, it will be released. Hope this tides you all over until we grace you with our digital presence again.

Kit

F*CK YES!
Re-release sounds killer as well.

Bump Again

Hey kiddies. Your dreams are being answered haha. We are currently in Mana studios in St. Petersburg, FL with Erik Rutan recording our second full length for Metal Blade records. The record is entitled "The Campaign" and will be 8 new songs, to clock in at just over 40 minutes. At this point I am entirely done recording drums, and Kit is just about to start guitars. We should be done by around July 6th, so check the site for new tunes. Yeah we've been saying that for a while, but this time it ain't no joke. Thank you to everyone for keeping us in mind through these last 3 years since we last made a record. I hope you haven't lost faith in us, this record is gonna be killer.

Matthew

First of all, I enjoy deathcore for it's complexity and it's the only genre heavy enough for me

Woah, woah, woah- Early Ion Dissonance is 100 times better than Into the Moat. The new stuff is trying too hard, but they also lost their vocalist, who was integral to their music, apparently.

LOL

The vocals are different and more one-dimensional, but they fit.

Instrumentally, they've gotten a lot more mature and 'organic', dare I say.

Good as ID may have been, now they're kinda lame, whereas ItM has gotten only better.

Bump.

Completely forgot about these guys. They rule hard. Did they break up?
