ok so one of my friends is a really good artist, and she told me that she would put one of her designs on a pickgaurd for me. it will most likely be just black and white. so I have two questions for you:

what types of things can she use to put her art on the pickgaurd

and

once she is done, what can I do to preserve it (e.g. some kinda coating, and how I would go about getting such a job done)

thanks,

Frantic

any hardware store

Edit: may I suggest a black pickguard with white paint if its for your sunburst strat? just leave the white pup covers. I think that'd look sweet.
