Hey Ug,

I thought it would be a cool idea to make a thread where we can show each other cool riffs and licks.I dont know if this has been done before, because the search bar never works for me.So here we go!

Heres a riff I wrote today

e ------------------------------------------------------------
b ------------8-9-11-11-9-8----------11-9-8----------------
g 9h8p9h8-------------------9-9p8-----------9-9p8--------
d ------------------------------------------------------------
a-------------------------------------------------------------
e-------------------------------------------------------------

To lazy to tab out where hammer ons and pull offs go,will put em' up later.

So go nuts!

Chris

e 10-12-11-12-8-12-10-12-7-10-8-10-5-8-7-8-5/10

It's all repeated on the high e string. It's a fun little warm-up for me.
Gear:
Gibson X-Plorer Studio Yellow
Orange Tiny Terror
Orange PPC-112 Cab (2 stacked - 1 open backed)
MXR Phase 90

Ok here we go, this is a really cool one I made up in a couple of minutes(beauty of the pentatonic scale eh )

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------10---------7h10---10b12-------
---------------------------------------8h10b12****rb10------------------------------
------------10--8b10-------8h10--------------------------------------------------
---8--10----------------10--------------------------------------------------

Those asterisks i was trying to say hold the bend to 12 while striking the 10 above it, then restrike and bend back to 10. I let the g string slip under my finger while bending so its easier. Kinda hard to explain but sounds great, after the bends you can rebend back if you want. Definitely bluesy. Hopefully there will be more stuff to come.

edit: i think i actually played it two frets higher than this but either way sounds good, i guess it would just change the key, but i like it two frets higher.

All 1/8th notes: Where there's much space you should let the note ring The last one is a chord and you can do the whole riff over again, and again :p

This thread is in dire need of code tags.
