i'm trying to add a liitle bit of latin flavor to my sound, which is currently bland and overdone. can anyone help me with this kind of thing? specifically the time signatures they use, the types of rythms and chord progressions they usually favor, and what types of modes and if they use any specific types of keys. all i really know is flamenco uses the phryigian mode heavily
Listen to latin music, and feel how the rhythms are. They make you want to dance (for the most part). Also, go on youtube and look up some latin dances, and write your music with rhythms that can accompany those dances.
