but seriously.

lighting is heaps fun to play around with
use a torch or a light bulb and play around

also black and white and sepia always seem to work with some things

something to draw the viewer in... whether it be an expression on thr model's face or an uncomman item in the background.
Also this may just be my opinion but i like a lot of contrast between what is in the foreground and what is in the background, what is in the shadows and what is in the light

Lighting, structure, composition and dynamics I believe where the basics.

You can frame an interesting object of your picture...ie. by having a person at the end of a hallway or something will frame the object.

rule of thirds

use of elevation....muck around with photos taken from higher up or from low down to the object

there are other good ones mentioned^

Yeah, TS, that's ( /\ ) all stuff to make a photo average, but if you want an amazing photo just put a picture of me or Rankles in it.

Agreed, it'd be like Moses looking at God: see 'ya later eyesight. In fact, I think it'd be so amazing that it'd be made illegal, just like all the other best things in life.

An interesting subject, and a wellplanned approach to getting the viewer to see what you're trying to say with it.
