The infernal pick-gnomes are at it again, and I'm currently without a proper pick. As with every instance of plectrum famine that occurs, I scour my house in a panic, in search of a suitable replacement. In my search, I happened to grab a magnet off my fridge and, upon playing my guitar, found it makes a very unique tone. Very percussive and twangy. Anyone else try this?

I'm quite intruiged actually. It's just common sense that it will make a difference, due to the pickups being magnetic. Just make sure you don't leave the magnets near the pickups for too long, lest you want to do any long term damage.

Could be an easy way to develop a unique tone though
