I did a few searchs to find the old one but i couldnt find it.
Anyway what covers do you love more than the originals. I really really like the Machine Head cover of Battery by Metallica, Megadeth did a cover of Paranoid by Black Sabbath witch i liked.
What about you then ?

Only covers which are completely different, a la "All Along the Watchtower" (Dylan/Jimi) and "Hurt" (NIN/Cash). I just don't think people can do justice to other people's songs unless they start from the ground up and put a lot of their own input in.

Aretha Franklin - The Weight
Tom Waits - Sea of Love

I like Aretha Franklin's version of the weight. It's a total reworking of the original and features Duane Allman on the Dobro. It makes you wonder what ever happened to southern soul.

STOP STOP STOP IT

KSE engages cover of holy diver shamed that song. i love the band but that cover was sad.

Triviums master of puppets was okay but it predicted their next album which sounds like a giant metallica cover. sadly.

anyway.

on topic

john 5 welcome to the jungle.

CHILDREN OF BODOMS- OOPS i did it again sounds better than britanny for sure and it has a guitar solo.

i dont know any other covers that are much good.

GNR's cover of Knockin' on Heavens door.

Toploaders cover of Dancing in the Moonlight (though I prefer the original).

Fly me to the Moon by Bobby Darin (if it counts as a cover, it's more like someone singing someone elses song...).

Yup. Better than the Black Sabbath version, in my opinion...

"Rock On" - Def Leppard (originally by David Essex)

^Mainly because they put some heavy guitar in the last minute of the song.

"American Woman" - Lenny Kravitz (originally by The Guess Who)

^It isn't as good as the original, but he put his own style into it, which is something you look for in a cover.

"Heard it Through the Grapevine" - Creedence Clearwater Revival (originally by Gladys Knight & the Pips, and of course also by Marvin Gaye)

EDIT:

Oh, and GnR's version of "Hair of the Dog" is awesome.

Tool- No Quarter, Johnny Cash-Rusty Cage, Hurt, Personal Jesus, Kill a Man-RATM, Where did you sleep last night-Nirvana and Man who sold the world,
