I'm getting interested in the idea of recording music that I play and putting it into a computer and messing around with it (like editing it, or putting a drum track behind it, and stuff). What is that sort of thing called and how do I learn more about it/how to do it?
you got soul, or so you say. hey, i say you don't!

Yeah but that doesn't answer the drum loop issue. I prefer to get a real drummer to record it. Mainly because I've never tried drum loops, but I'm sure a real drummer is better.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

Confused? Good.

I have garageband and it's alright, it usually makes recordings sound like crap though. It's fun to mess around with.
