What would be cheaper, to buy a new guitar for hard rock and metal or buy a HSH pickup set and a new pickguard (obviously) for my MIM strat? Also I am getting around $200, ($300 slightly possible) for my bday and I'll have around that much for a few months, should I get a roland+noise suppresor before worrying about upgrading my strat or getting a new guitar? EDIT: Or could I get a MFX pedal?

I would just keep the Strat sss. It will come in handy. Get a mahogany double humbucker guitar. I would get the guitar before I would mess with pedals.

What if I put a seymour duncan or an emg in the bridge? Or even a SD single coil? I think a SD single coil in the bridge then a new amp would be better than buying a double HB mahogany guitar then buying emgs then buying a nice amp. Or should I just get a nicer amp and a noise reduction pedal?
