Hey I got 2 30 gig hard drives from old mp3 players and what I want to do is use them as actual hard drives for my computer since the mp3 players don't work any more. how would I go about doing this? Do I have to erase the firm ware? Do I have to do anything major?

Uhm, just plug it in, go to my computer > right click the drive > click format.

That is assuming you have a way of connecting them.

I don't have a secondary bay for another drive let alone two, due to the fact that my computer is a notebook. I have my main hd and then two secondary ones I can't use on it because it won't hold them.

A. Might be a different Hard Drive type.
B. Unless you can connect them by usb, you're screwed.
