ok guys, sempri_fi is back

in all his former glory

now, i've done a few projects and i'm sure you all want to see them
but
that gets to wait, because i have a huge term paper due soon....

but

as a teaser
i've dropped a vintage 30 in my valvetronix (amazing)

and i tricked korg into giving me a complete schematic (also amazing)

and i made a custom extension cab for my VJ

and i put a mellow switch into my VJ, its cool

and a few other small things

so stay tuned

awesome. im in serious need of a new amp, so how did the VJ sound stock?? and the ValveTronix??

the Vj was nice stock, they run the preamp cold and the power amp hot, but its not a big deal, it will still get you a nice sound, i'd Seriously recommend a retube though, its worth the 50 bucks in tubes, try for the late breakup groove tubes, i've had alot of luck with them lately, and maybe a 12at7 or 12au7 in the pre, that way you have some room on the dial, and you can always toss a boost or OD in front to give it a little kick.


and the valvetronix was the 50w (its not 50w, but its plenty loud) so it had a celestion 70-80 in it, which is a decent speaker (i have the parts list, its a 70-80 for sure, just rebranded) and it delivered a decent sound, but i like my speakers to be a little sweeter and not get as muddy, so the v30 worked out nice, i have mids for days now where before i didnt...
