Is it possible to make a passive bass or mid pot on your guitar just like you'd have a tone pot?

my friend has a mid, bass, and treble pots on his bass. Along with volume and tone. I forget what kind of bass it is though

but that requires active electronics, you can have a pot cut out the bass just like the tone pot cuts out the treble just by swapping the capacitor and resistor (pot) around
