Hey guys, I'm about to purchase components for my first build, and I just wanted to know if y'all had any suggestions, or recommendations based on my selection.

Case: COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Black Aluminum

Power Supply: Broadway Com Corp ATX 600W Power Supply 115/230 V
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817162017

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz

Motherboard: Intel BLKDP35DPM LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX

Video Card: EVGA GeForce 8600GTS 512MB

Ram: G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 (PC6400)

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache

DVD/RW Drive: SAMSUNG Black 20X DVD+R 8X

I already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers and Vista Basic, so I'm good there.

Please let me know if I'm missing anything or if any of these parts are incompatible, I did a decent amount of research though so I'm fairly certain it will all work. Thanks again.

*EDIT* Links fixed.

Well that processor will give you a sweet tone. As for the hard drive its best for metal/hard rock so if thats what you're into then yes definately!

I'm not sure about youre RAM choice i prefer 9's or 10s ... 11 or above is just too thick, lower gauge is more easier to shred on.

some of the links dont work

but for motherboard i would recommend

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=BROWSE&N=200137&Ns=display%5Fprice%7C1&product_code=343056

case looks decent

the chip you chose is the best option since chip e6600 is about 229 and quad is 279

ram is pretty good

what you got so far is pretty good man iwas thinking of doing an upgrade but i dont have money at the moment but if i do it be something like that just that i would prefer getting a 8800 videocard since it has more power

Thanks for some of the responses. Is there anything else that I'll need. cable wise? fan wise? connector wise? I dont wanna get all the parts laid out then realize I don't have something

Don't forget to buy IDE cables, and a system fan, if it doesn't come with the case.
