I want to know how I can connect my guitar straight to my computer, to record my own music but still be able to get a good, clean sound from it?

I've tried some other products but nothing really works well. Nothing allows you to get a clean sound.

get a lead that you plug into your mircrophone socket, then get an adapter which changes the mic lead to the size of a guitar lead then plug in and your guitars pickups will act as they would on regular speakers, then just use pedals, racks, whatever to adjustt your sound unless you want it peprfectly clean and record using whatever program you have.

Stick that into you mic input.

That in the extension

then plug in and your guitar sound will come out of your computer speakers (best to use headphoens so it's easier to hear)

You can do without the extension but then its more likely to fall oout the input.

yea you should be really carfeul about plugging anything directly into your computer's mike socket, especially if your not running some kind of audio adapter, you could potentially screw up ur sound card really bad....i would look into either that line 6 toneport or riff tracker program, or at least get a stealth plug so that you can monitor the strength of the signal you send in to your computer

I wouldn't plug it into the mic port, I would use the Line in or Auxilary ports instead. I know with Audacity you can select which port to record through.
