Hey im just looking for a little guidance real quick.
So im in the market for a new amp as my current one cant quite achieve
the sound im looking to put out. I currently have a spider II 212 and am looking to
switch to an all tube combo. I was looking into the JMC 800 combo series but due to the fact that thier impossible to find and are in the 1400$ range its little hope.
What are some good tube combo's that are worth checking into.
I mainly play a mix of death and power metal.

peavey 5150/6505, xxx, genz benz el diabo, mesa f-series/rectoverb. probably some more i'm forgetting (i'm not too well up on US pricing...). you just have to try as many as you can to see which you prefer...
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

almost any all-tube Marshall combo would be good. A 5150 or 6505 is also xcellent. If u can find a 5150 II combo (the new EVH ones), idk about price, but metal would definately sound good on em. Orange combos would do metal well, idk about US prices tho, cuz there mainly a UK brand.

yeah, they're worth considering i guess, but if you ask me a 5150/6505 is better for death metal. the screamer (only one really under budget) is more an all-round amp which can get to high gain, rather than a specialist high-gainer...

yeah. it's more the voicing... the screamer is pretty brightly-voiced (even compared to some of the other engls)...

DarthV, you got yourself a steal man! I'm gonna report you to the cops! Haha.

But yeah TS, a 5150/6505 off ebay would be the best choice IMO.
