I have the possibility of getting a broken george dennis wah for under £10. The seller knows nothing about electronics and so doesn't know what is broken. he says the led lights up but no sound comes through.

any ideas what may be wrong with it and how hard/easy it would be to fix? (i myself have no electronics knowledge)

go to your local guitar shop and get a quote, and then compare with retail price, and see whether it would be worth it

i can't get a quote if i don't know what's wrong with it. it's off of ebay.

well considering retail for them is somewhere upwards of £70, if it's a cheap fix it could be very worth it. or if i don;t like it it could be a decent investment.

really what i want to know (in case it wasn't clear in my first post) is what is likely to be broken if absolutely no sound is passing through?
