You say you want opinions but no negative opinions. Kind of limits any useful advice.

look into a good tube combo. You will thank us later for saving you from the Spiders.

but i think
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Palomino-v16-Class-A-Tube-Combo-Amp?sku=487826

would suit you perfectly. Its a tube amp, and its got a decent amount of gain on it. Also since its a tube amp, it puts out about twice as much sound as your 15w solid state.

so you want our opinion but you don't want us to say how much Line 6 sucks?
That makes no sense whatsoever

EDIT: Why do people always recommend the Palominos? They're just a more expensive V series.

NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO not a spider. ive played one and its crap. end of story. better amps for the $.
#9
ive played a few spiders and they arent that bad...... im lookin for somethin that i can hear over a drum kit(double bass) and my bass player, so will the wattage on those tube amps be good enuff for that and smaller type gigs?

How can you people (above when he said what he plays) recommend him amps when you didnt know what he plays?
Your all just telling him what you heard was a good amp

Whats the highest amount you could go man?

EDIT: i found this for you
http://cgi.ebay.com/Randall-RG50TC-50W-1x12-Guitar-Combo-Amp_W0QQitemZ110171150803QQihZ001QQcategoryZ10171QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

A Randall RG50TC
50 watts
its got enough gain for what you wanna play, and more if you ever need to go a little heavier.
2 channels (footswitchable)
The clean channel is alright, not the best but depends what your playing.

your looking at about... $460 if your able to stretch the budget that much.

Distortion sounds like man being raped by cow.

Go with the SS Randall's if anything, otherwise, the Valveking or Laney with a decent overdrive pedal.

So why exactly are Line 6s pieces of ****?

Personally, I thought it sounded pretty decent. They're crap for clean stuff definitely, but it had tons of different variations of distortion.

hmm...that makes things rather difficult. ok:

the line 6 spider does not suck at all. it's really quite amazing. /sarcasm.

what type of music are you planning to play?
edit: found your post. hmm...you might be able to find a used ashdown fallen angel, though i haven't seen any recently. perhaps a used 5150?
