I remember my first erection. I went to my dad and was like "Do I have Aids???". I seriously thought there was something wrong with me.

just as long as you dont set the mids to 0, you should cut through fine (in most situaltions)

Well mids REALLY brings out definition, dynamics and so on.

Scooped Mids I find give you more of a chugging. It really defines the lows. Its a way to get br00tal on a mid-range to lo-range amp. Lots of people dont like it because it sounds too thin (Paper-crackling palm muting) but I like it for most Thrash metal.
My setting are:
Dist: 8.5
Bass: 9
Mids: 2
Treble: 7

I can nail the MOP tone pretty much with it, through the amp itself.

I usually have bass at 8, treble at 7, and mids at 4-5, when I turn up my mids to 7+, it just sounds weird
