Has anyone ever used the Line 6 Spider III 75 Modeling Combo Amp? If so is it a nice amp?

alright thx
#2
Yes, and no.

For the price there are much better amps you can buy.

What are you planning on playing through it, i.e. bands, styles.
Ibanez S520EX with Seymour Duncan Blackouts
ESP EC401FM with EMG81/60
VHT Deliverance 60
Laney VH100R
Marshall JCM900 1960B
Maxon OD808

I have played through a few Spiders, not that particular one. Not a nice amp. Use the search thread on UG. I don't want to start a big Spider-hate post.

my dad has it. It actually is kind of sucky. The different presets are set to different vollumes so when you switch from one to another you either get blasted with vollume, or u can barely hear it. for the money i would get a tube amp like a Blues. Jr. but it depends on what your style is...

its not that good there is better for the money
current gear
music man steve morse y2d
fender american strat
yamaha dg 100
crate palomoino v32 head

Ok so what about the Ibanez MIMX65 MIMX 65W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp? I don't play shows and stuff so i dont need a massive amp set or really expensive amp. i just need a pretty good amp for around $300 that can give me good effects and good sound. thx
#10
I asked about the MIMX on some other forums, and people said they pretty much suck, so....

If you don't need a big amp for shows, why would you buy a 65 watt amp? Those things would deafen your neighbor at full blast...

Look at Vox Valvetronix and Roland Cubes. Or if you want AMAZING sound but not as much wattage, crate v8 or epiphone valve junior.

^ oops my bad. i played a palo v8 and loved it but i like the classic 30 better. now thats comparing the v8 to the c30. idk if the v8 sounds the same as teh v32 or not. if it does then the classic 30 just appeals to me more.
